Mountain hut - GRBAJA

... belongs to Mountaineering club “Radnicki” since it is built in 1964. Geographic coordinates are North 42° 31' 30,8" and Еast 19° 47' 27,3" and it is located on highpoint of 1175m.

The object has 20 beds in mutual sleeping room on the first floor and in the case of need on the penthouse, there is a place for 6 more people. On the ground floor there is a dinnig room ( in which in
a case of need 4 more people can sleep too) and a kitchen with water and dishes. 

Meadow in a front of the hut is suitable for camping in a case of large number of visitors, as you can see from the photo. 


In a dining room there is a wood cook stove which is using for heat and preparing a food..
Under the stairs there are prepared woods for heat, and you are obligate to reimburse the expend quantity of woods before leaving the hut (woods are in the near forest).

There is no electricity in the hut, but in the evening it’s very romantic with the candle light. Source of lights are candles, batteries and gas lamps. It is forbidden to use the candelas in the sleeping room for the safety reasons. In the near future electricity should be expected. Beside electricity, it is planned complete reconstruction of the hut. However, lack of finances is slowing us down. We hope that we will resolve this problem with the little help of propriate sponsors. 

The closest store is in Gusinje, so for the staying in the hut it is recommended to take with you all the necessary supplies. In the summer time you can supply with milk and very quality cheese from the near cottages.

The hut is at the same time outcome point for all the peaks above Grbaja.
